Teens Charged After Weapons and Marijuana Found Outside High School Football Game in Bucks County
Two teenagers are facing juvenile charges after a handgun, an airsoft gun, and marijuana were discovered outside a high school football game at Harry S. Truman High School in Bristol Township, Bucks County. School security personnel reportedly stopped the teens from bringing backpacks into the game, which is against district policy. The teens subsequently left their bags along the fence line and entered the stadium. School resource officers, noticing the unattended bags, investigated and found the illicit items. Bristol Township Police Chief CJ Winik stated that it is concerning when juveniles acquire firearms. No shots were fired, and no injuries were reported during the incident. Both teens will be charged in juvenile court; one attends Truman High School, and the other attends a different school. The school district has issued a letter to parents, reassuring them of their commitment to student safety and full cooperation with law enforcement.
