Bristol, Rhode Island Initiates 2027 Property Revaluation Process
Bristol, Rhode Island, has commenced its 2027 property revaluation, a state-mandated process to update assessed property values. The town has contracted CATALIS for this project, which began with drive-by photo collection in October. The revaluation aims to establish new assessment values based on the market conditions as of December 31, 2027. The process involves two main phases of field work: initial data collectors will take updated digital photos of improved properties from their vehicles, followed by inspectors who will measure and list homes. These inspectors will request permission for brief interior inspections to verify details like room counts and basements. The town emphasizes that during these field visits, only data is collected, and no valuation decisions are made. Residents are expected to receive their new assessment notices in early 2028.
