Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Investigate Homicide in Southwest Charlotte
The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department (CMPD) is currently investigating a homicide that occurred in southwest Charlotte on Thursday night. Authorities were called to the scene along Yager Creek Drive, near South Tryon Street, just before 10 p.m. A person was found shot and subsequently transported to the hospital by MEDIC, where they later succumbed to their injuries. The identity of the victim has not yet been released. CMPD is actively searching for the individual responsible for the shooting and is appealing to the public for any information related to the incident, urging anyone with details to contact CrimeStoppers.
