Man Dies in Police Custody Following Alleged Stabbing in Corpus Christi, Texas
In Corpus Christi, Texas, a man died in police custody on Friday after allegedly stabbing his mother. Officers responded to reports on the 4600 block of Yorktown Boulevard, where neighbors had already detained the male suspect. Upon taking custody of the man and placing him in a patrol vehicle, he began to experience physical distress. Medical assistance was requested from the fire department, and both the suspect and the victim were transported to local hospitals. The suspect was later pronounced dead, though the cause of death has not yet been determined. The victim remains in stable condition. Authorities are investigating whether narcotics or mental health issues played a role in the incident.
