Tyler Man Arrested After Firing Gun in College Station Bar
Trey Wheeler, a 19-year-old man from Tyler, was arrested in College Station after allegedly firing a gun inside a nightclub. College Station Police Department officers responded to a report of a shot fired from inside a club located in the 100 block of College Main Street. Upon entering the establishment, officers located and detained Wheeler, recovering a firearm from his waistband. Further investigation by the police revealed that Wheeler possessed a second firearm inside the club, which had been misplaced before the shot was fired. Both weapons were confiscated as evidence. Wheeler faces multiple charges, including public intoxication, two counts of unlawfully carrying a weapon, two counts of unlawfully carrying a weapon in a prohibited place, deadly conduct, disorderly conduct, and failure to identify and giving false information. He has been booked into the Brazos County Jail. Authorities reported no injuries in connection with the incident, and the investigation is ongoing.
