Nithya Raman Leads Mayor Karen Bass in Latest Los Angeles Mayoral Poll
A new Berkeley IGS/L.A. Times Poll indicates that City Councilmember Nithya Raman has taken a significant lead over incumbent Mayor Karen Bass in the Los Angeles mayoral race. Raman is polling at 39% compared to Mayor Bass's 28% among 2,100 likely voters. This marks Raman's strongest showing to date, as she previously trailed Mayor Bass in all primary polls, where she finished second. Despite Raman's lead, the race remains open, with approximately one-third of voters still undecided. A substantial portion of these undecided voters are identified as those who supported Spencer Pratt in the primary election. The poll also reveals a high unfavorability rating for Mayor Bass at 63%, with only 28% viewing her favorably, while Raman has a 40% favorable rating and 39% unfavorable.
