East Tennessee Faces Intense Heat and Storms in Weather Forecast
East Tennessee is bracing for a week of intense heat and potential storms, according to the latest forecast. Meteorologist Belle Oliver reports that temperatures will feel like they are in the 100s due to high humidity levels. A cold front is expected to move through the region on Tuesday, bringing the possibility of strong to severe storms, particularly in areas east of I-75. The Storm Prediction Center has issued a Level 2 out of 5 Slight Risk for severe weather, with threats including strong winds, hail, and the potential for a brief tornado. The forecast also indicates a drop in temperatures and humidity by the end of the week.
