Congresswoman Diana Harshbarger Participates in Naturalization Ceremony at Tusculum University
Congresswoman Diana Harshbarger, a representative from Tennessee, recently participated in a naturalization service held at Tusculum University. During the ceremony, 58 individuals from 36 countries became U.S. citizens after taking the oath administered by U.S. District Court Judge Clifton Corker. Representatives from the offices of U.S. Sens. Marsha Blackburn and Bill Hagerty, along with Congresswoman Harshbarger, presented the new citizens with their certificates. A member of the Daughters of the American Revolution also provided each new citizen with a flag. The event, which took place on Constitution Day, emphasized the importance of citizenship, the rights it confers, and the responsibilities it entails, including the power and duty to shape the nation's future through participation in elections. Former Vice President Mike Pence was also present on campus for a separate Constitution Day event.
