Mississippi Tornadoes Cause Widespread Damage, Hundreds of Homes Affected
Severe storms, including multiple tornadoes, have caused significant damage across Mississippi, affecting hundreds of homes and downing power lines. The storms struck several counties, with a mobile home park in Bogue Chitto experiencing severe damage. While there are no reports of fatalities, several injuries have been reported. The National Weather Service confirmed a large tornado moving through Lincoln and Lawrence counties. Governor Tate Reeves has reported multiple tornadoes and the state Emergency Management Agency is coordinating response efforts. More storms are expected, potentially affecting Alabama, Georgia, and Florida.
