Homeland Security Worker and Another Woman Killed in Atlanta-Area Attacks
An Atlanta man has been charged with a series of attacks that resulted in the deaths of two women, including a Department of Homeland Security (DHS) employee, and left a man critically injured. The suspect, Olaolukitan Adon Abel, a U.K. native who became a U.S. citizen in 2022, is accused of carrying out the attacks over several hours. The DHS worker, Lauren Bullis, was killed while walking her dog. The attacks have drawn attention from Homeland Security Secretary Markwayne Mullin, who raised concerns about Abel's citizenship status and his criminal history.
