Genetic Genealogist Suggests DNA Evidence May Be Found in Nancy Guthrie Case
Nancy Guthrie, the mother of Today co-anchor Savannah Guthrie, has been missing for over two months. A genetic genealogist has suggested that DNA evidence may still be present at her home, potentially aiding the investigation into her disappearance. Surveillance footage shows an unidentified man at Nancy's home on the morning of her disappearance, possibly leaving saliva on a flashlight he held in his mouth. The investigation, involving local law enforcement and the FBI, has been ongoing since Nancy was last seen at her Tucson, Arizona home on January 31. Alleged ransom notes have been sent to news outlets, and clues at the crime scene suggest Nancy did not leave voluntarily. The FBI and Pima County Sheriff's Department have released images of a potential suspect tampering with a camera at Nancy's front door. DNA from a glove found near her home has not matched any profiles in the CODIS database, but investigators believe they have workable DNA evidence.
