Mississippi Tornadoes Cause Extensive Damage to Homes and Injuries
Severe storms, including at least three tornadoes, swept through several counties in Mississippi, causing significant damage to approximately 500 homes and injuring at least 17 people. The Mississippi Emergency Management Agency reported that the tornadoes struck the state's southwest region late Wednesday evening. In Bogue Chitto, a small community in Lincoln County, a trailer park was particularly hard-hit, with most homes flattened. Residents, including Krystal Miller and her family, experienced the tornado's force firsthand, with their home being lifted and scattered. Despite the destruction, no fatalities have been reported. The National Weather Service confirmed the presence of multiple tornadoes and is assessing further damage.
