Netanyahu's Alleged UAE Visit Sparks Diplomatic Tensions Amid Operation Roaring Lion
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu reportedly visited the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to meet with President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan at the onset of Operation Roaring Lion, according to an announcement by the Prime Minister's Office. This meeting, if confirmed, would mark a significant diplomatic engagement since the Abraham Accords in 2020. However, the UAE's Foreign Ministry has denied any such visit, labeling the claims as baseless unless officially confirmed by UAE authorities. Former PMO spokesperson Ziv Agmon, who claims to have attended the meetings, contradicted the UAE's denial, asserting that Netanyahu was warmly received in Abu Dhabi. The visit is said to have involved discussions on Israeli-UAE cooperation during the Iran conflict, with reports of Israel providing Iron Dome batteries to the UAE for defense against Iranian attacks.
