Toronto Jews Rally in Support of Israel Amid Rising Antisemitism
In Toronto, a significant demonstration took place with nearly 60,000 participants showing support for Israel amidst rising antisemitism. The march, one of the largest in the city's history, was a response to escalating tensions in the Middle East and subsequent antisemitic incidents in Canada. Participants carried Israeli and Canadian flags, emphasizing their solidarity with Israel. The event was organized by the UJA Federation of Greater Toronto, which coordinated extensive security measures to ensure safety. Despite the challenges, the Jewish community's support for Israel remains strong, with increased engagement in Jewish life and philanthropy.
