Midwest Faces More Severe Storms After Deadly Derecho
Severe storms are set to return across the Midwest and Ohio Valley on Wednesday, Aug. 12, after a deadly derecho brought 90–100 mph winds, flooding and widespread outages Tuesday. More than 800,000 customers remain without power across Ohio, Illinois and Indiana. A Level 2 severe storm risk covers parts of Illinois, Indiana and Kentucky, with damaging winds and flash flooding again possible through the week.
