Turkish Airlines Investigates Flight's Use of Russian Airspace Amid Safety Concerns
Turkish Airlines is investigating an incident where one of its flights from Tallinn to Istanbul reportedly entered Russian airspace, deviating from its standard route. The flight, which typically passes through several European countries, flew over Russia's Kaliningrad exclave. This deviation was noticed by a passenger using a flight-tracking app, prompting questions about the route's safety and compliance. Estonia's air navigation service confirmed that the approved flight plan did not include Russian airspace, highlighting concerns over civil aviation safety amid the ongoing conflict in Ukraine.
