Fruitland Park Man Arrested After Armed Standoff with Lake County Deputies
A man in Fruitland Park, Florida, was arrested following an armed standoff with the Lake County Sheriff's Office. The incident began when Alexander Barrios Ozorio Walfre barricaded himself in a home on Sunnyside Drive after allegedly threatening a neighbor with a gun. The Lake County Crisis Negotiations Team attempted to communicate with Ozorio Walfre and evacuated nearby residents as a precaution. After several hours, Ozorio Walfre surrendered to the authorities and was taken into custody. His brother, Walter Emanuel Berrios Ozorio, who was also present in the home, was arrested on a charge of resisting arrest. The sheriff's office has indicated that more details about the incident will be released at a later date.
