French Jewish Tourists Attacked by Antisemitic Mob in Barcelona
Seven French Jewish tourists were subjected to a nearly 40-minute antisemitic mob attack in Barcelona, Spain, after leaving a synagogue. One of the victims, 41-year-old Jimmy Zaghroun, reported that the group was spat at and verbally abused with antisemitic slurs. The incident began with a woman wearing a keffiyeh and a Palestinian flag, who started yelling, and was soon joined by others. Chants escalated from 'Free Palestine' to 'Baby killers,' 'Jews are not welcome here,' 'Zionists are not welcome here,' and 'Death to Israel.' Zaghroun filed a complaint upon returning to France, and Spanish authorities have confirmed an investigation is underway.
