The Supreme Court has already heard oral arguments, and a decision is expected soon. The administration argues that the phrase 'subject to the jurisdiction thereof' in the 14th Amendment excludes children of undocumented immigrants and some temporary visa holders, a stance that has faced strong opposition in court.
