Despite being taken to a hospital, where she was informed she was not pregnant, her medical records remain inaccessible to her and her legal representatives. Democratic Representatives Gwen Moore and Delia Ramirez have visited the facility, highlighting concerns over inadequate medical care for pregnant detainees. This case is part of a broader scrutiny of the Department of Homeland Security's treatment of pregnant and postpartum detainees, with reports of inadequate healthcare and lack of access to medical records.
