U.S. Citizen Detained by Israeli Authorities Amid Allegations of Rock Throwing
Adam Wajeh Abdelfattah Karakrah, a 16-year-old Palestinian-American, has been detained by Israeli authorities in the West Bank. Initially arrested for allegedly throwing rocks at Israeli vehicles, Karakrah was set to be released after his family paid bail. However, Israeli officials linked him to a new case, resulting in his continued detention. The arrest occurred during a raid on his family's home in Sinjil, where soldiers reportedly threatened his family and disregarded his U.S. citizenship documents. The U.S. Embassy in Jerusalem is aware of the case but has stated it cannot interfere with legal matters, only monitor Karakrah's health and safety.
