Democrats Distance from Hasan Piker Following Controversial Comments on Jewish Americans
Democratic candidates and lawmakers across the United States are publicly distancing themselves from Twitch streamer and left-wing political commentator Hasan Piker due to controversial comments he made regarding Jewish Americans and their perceived singular investment in Israel. Piker stated in a recent clip, “If Jews in America keep putting this idea out there that they are singularly invested in Israel, eventually someone is going to come around and take action. Not against the state of Israel mind you, but against American Jews.” These remarks have drawn widespread condemnation from elected officials. Michigan state Senator Jeremy Moss, who is Jewish and running for Congress, criticized Piker after his photo was displayed by Piker during a discussion of the issue.
