French Politician Jack Lang Resigns Amid Epstein Links and Financial Investigation
Jack Lang, a former French culture minister, has resigned from his position as head of the Arab World Institute in Paris following revelations of his past connections with Jeffrey Epstein. The resignation comes as French prosecutors have launched a financial investigation into Lang and his daughter, Caroline Lang, on suspicions of 'aggravated tax fraud laundering.' The investigation was prompted by documents released by the U.S. Department of Justice, which highlighted Epstein's extensive social and financial networks. Lang, who served as culture minister under President François Mitterrand, was shown to have corresponded with Epstein between 2012 and 2019. Despite being mentioned over 600 times in the Epstein files, Lang denies any wrongdoing, claiming he was unaware of Epstein's criminal activities. His daughter, Caroline, also denies any misconduct, despite being linked to an offshore company founded with Epstein.
