Five Pickleball Players Killed in Texas Plane Crash En Route to Tournament
Five members of the Amarillo Pickleball Club were tragically killed in a plane crash while traveling to a tournament in New Braunfels, Texas. The victims, identified as Seren Wilson, Brooke Skypala, Stacy Hedrick, Justin 'Glen' Appling, and Hayden Dillard, were aboard a twin-engine Cessna 421C that crashed in a wooded area near Wimberly, Texas. The crash occurred late Thursday night, and the cause is currently under investigation by the Federal Aviation Administration and the National Transportation Safety Board. The plane was one of two traveling from Amarillo, with the other arriving safely. The incident has prompted an outpouring of grief and support from the pickleball community and the victims' families.
