Charles William Barrett Jr. Passes Away at 91, Leaving a Legacy in Law and Family
Charles William Barrett Jr., a respected figure in the legal community, passed away at the age of 91 in Concord. Born on August 11, 1934, in Malden, Barrett was known for his long-standing career in law and his dedication to family. He graduated from Dartmouth College in 1956 and Boston University in 1959, subsequently joining the law firm of Esdaile, Barrett, Jacobs & Mone. Over his 60-year career, he became a partner and mentor, working closely with his son and best friend. Barrett was deeply involved in the American Bar Association and the Massachusetts Academy of Trial Lawyers, where he served in various leadership roles and received a Lifetime Achievement Award in 2006. Beyond his professional life, Barrett cherished family adventures and was an active member of the Concord Bikers group. He is survived by his wife Jane, their four children, and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
