California Highway Patrol Issues Amber Alert for Teen Abducted in Salinas, Suspect Linked to Infant Death
The California Highway Patrol (CHP) has issued an Amber Alert across multiple Central and Southern California counties for 14-year-old Diana Galvez Ortega, who is believed to have been abducted in Salinas, Monterey County. Authorities suspect the teen is with 38-year-old Sergio Galvez Perez. The relationship between Ortega and Perez has not been disclosed. The pair is reportedly traveling in a white Nissan Altima without license plates. The Monterey County Sheriff’s Office has issued arrest warrants for Sergio Galvez Perez and an unidentified 14-year-old female in connection with the death of an infant whose body was discovered on a Monterey County roadway on August 1. Detectives believe Perez is actively concealing Ortega and preventing law enforcement from locating her. The Amber Alert covers Monterey, San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara, Ventura, Kern, Los Angeles, San Bernardino, Riverside, San Diego, Orange, and Imperial counties.
