Israel Warns of Rising Terror Threat Against Israelis and Jews Abroad
Israel's National Security Council has issued a warning about a rising threat of attacks against Israelis and Jews globally, particularly ahead of the Jewish High Holidays and the third anniversary of the October 7 attack. The assessment attributes this heightened threat to the ongoing conflict with Iran and its proxies, anti-Israel incitement, and an increase in plots and lone-actor attacks overseas. Iran is identified as a primary concern, accused of using proxy networks, including criminal organizations, to target Israeli diplomatic missions, officials, security personnel, and Jewish institutions. Hezbollah is also considered a significant threat due to its losses in fighting with Israel and its stated desire for revenge. Hamas is reportedly establishing operational networks in Europe and other regions for attacks, while ISIS and al-Qaeda continue to call for attacks on Jewish targets worldwide, including in the United States.
