California State Auditor Report Reveals Illegal Police Database Use and State Worker Misconduct
A recent report by the California State Auditor has uncovered instances of improper activities by state workers, including the illegal use of a police database by a high-ranking law enforcement officer. This unnamed officer reportedly used the California Law Enforcement Telecommunications System (CLETS) to access the home addresses and vehicle information of a deputy district attorney, a county supervisor, and six of his employees, citing personal curiosity and a threat assessment.
