Melania Trump made a public appearance at a White House Rose Garden event, marking her return to the spotlight after a month-long absence. She opened the event with a chuckle, stating, “Good afternoon. I heard you missed me. Here I am.” Melania Trump and President Trump walked hand-in-hand from the Oval Office to the podium, with President Trump sitting in the audience as she spoke. The event was held to mark a donation by IndyCar and the Fox Corporation to fund university scholarships, ahead of an IndyCar race in Washington to commemorate America’s 250th independence anniversary. Her last public appearance was at the FIFA World Cup final on July 19, and she had skipped several other major events, including the rescheduled White House Correspondents’ Dinner.
