Marine Drone Self-Detonates in Romanian Black Sea Port, Prompting Evacuation
A marine drone, similar to those used in the ongoing conflict in Ukraine, self-detonated in Romania's Black Sea port of Constanta near an oil terminal. The incident, which occurred without causing any casualties, led to the evacuation of the port and warnings for residents along Romania's Black Sea coast to take cover. Two helicopters were deployed to survey the area for any additional drones. This event is part of a series of drone-related incidents in Romania, including a recent crash of a Russian drone into an apartment building in Galati, which injured two people. Romania, a NATO and EU member, has reported multiple airspace incursions by Russian drones since the start of the war.
