Georgia Man Extradited to Connecticut for $50K Bank Fraud Scheme
Junior Astre, a 41-year-old man, has been extradited from Georgia to Connecticut following a yearlong investigation into a $50,000 bank fraud scheme. The West Hartford Police Department identified Astre as the suspect after he allegedly posed as a fraud manager from Webster Bank, convincing a local business to transfer funds. Astre faces multiple charges, including first-degree identity theft and larceny. He is currently held on a $100,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court.
