Amtrak Business Class Experience Falls Short for Upstate New York Traveler
A traveler recently shared their experience of taking an Amtrak train from Rochester to New York City, opting for a business-class ticket on the return journey. The traveler found that the business-class experience did not justify the additional cost compared to a coach ticket. The business-class car on the Maple Leaf train, which travels from Toronto to New York, features limited seating with only six rows. Despite the expectation of a more comfortable ride, the traveler noted that the perks were insufficient, and the seating arrangement was not ideal, particularly as the accessible seat lacked a footrest and traditional tray table. The train was delayed by an hour, adding to the traveler's dissatisfaction. Ultimately, the traveler concluded that coach class offered better value for the trip.
