White House Correspondents Dinner Shooting Causes Panic Among Attendees
During the White House Correspondents' Association Dinner held at the Washington Hilton, a shooting incident caused panic among attendees. Tal Naim, spokesperson for the Israeli Embassy in Washington, described the chaos, noting that guests were instructed to take cover under tables as shots were fired. The suspect, Cole Tomas Allen, was arrested at the scene. A Secret Service agent was unharmed, thanks to his protective vest stopping a bullet. The incident occurred shortly after President Trump was introduced and the national anthem was played. Secret Service agents quickly evacuated senior officials and cabinet members from the venue. The motive behind the shooting remains unclear, and there is no confirmed connection to the ongoing conflict with Iran.
