Rebecca Grossman and Former Dodger Scott Erickson Found Negligent in Fatal Crash, Jury Awards $176 Million to Iskander Family
A jury has found socialite Rebecca Grossman and former Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Scott Erickson negligent in the deaths of two young brothers, Mark and Jacob Iskander, who were killed in a car crash in Westlake Village in 2020. The jury awarded the Iskander family $176 million in damages. The incident occurred when Grossman, driving at approximately 80 mph in a 45 mph zone, struck the boys as they crossed the street with their mother. The jury determined that Grossman and Erickson acted with malice, which could lead to further punitive damages. Grossman's husband, Dr. Peter Grossman, was also implicated as he owned the vehicle involved in the crash. The civil suit was filed by the boys' parents, Nancy and Karim Iskander, and their son Zachary, who sought accountability for the tragic loss of their family members.
