Lawyer Jacqueline McKenzie Joins Campaign to Support Professor Jason Arday Against Smear Campaigns
Jacqueline McKenzie, a lawyer, is actively participating in a campaign to support Professor Jason Arday, the youngest Black professor in the history of the University of Cambridge. Professor Arday has been the target of false plagiarism accusations by rightwing media outlets, despite investigations by two universities and academic journals finding no evidence of wrongdoing. The campaign, which has garnered significant support, aims to counteract these baseless allegations and highlight the importance of academic freedom and fairness. The initiative is backed by various public figures, including MPs, academics, and activists, who emphasize the need to protect Black academics from racially motivated attacks that seek to undermine their achievements.
