Trump alleged that the Democrats are trying to 'steal' the gubernatorial and mayoral primaries, which are crucial for determining the candidates who will proceed in the races. The U.S. Attorney’s Office in Los Angeles is reportedly investigating the matter, although it is unclear if this probe was ordered by Trump. The current vote count shows Republican Steve Hilton and Democrat Xavier Becerra leading in the governor’s race, while incumbent Mayor Karen Bass is leading in the mayoral race, with a runoff expected against either Spencer Pratt or Nithya Raman.
