Volunteers Aid Flood Recovery Efforts in Moloka'i and Maui
In response to severe flooding caused by the Kona low storms, volunteers from the organization Red Lightning are assisting residents in Moloka'i and Maui with recovery efforts. The flooding resulted in significant damage, including mold growth in affected homes. Volunteers are helping with mold remediation, roof repairs, and clearing debris. The organization is prioritizing assistance for those without other recovery options. Red Lightning is working alongside Taskforce Kiwi, a New Zealand-based disaster response group, to provide comprehensive support. Together, they have assisted nearly 90 households across the islands.
