Rhinelander Married Couple Participates in Never Forgotten Honor Flight to Washington D.C.
Joyce Williams and her husband Harold, both veterans from Rhinelander, Wisconsin, participated in a Never Forgotten Honor Flight to Washington D.C. The couple, who each served over 22 years in the Army during and after the Vietnam War era, joined 93 other veterans from central and northern Wisconsin on the trip. The Never Forgotten Honor Flight program offers free trips to veterans who served before 1975, aiming to provide them with a 'welcome home' that many did not receive upon returning from service. Joyce Williams was one of six women on this particular flight, marking one of the highest numbers of female participants for the organization.
