Afghanistan Seeks Uzbekistan's Expertise in Agriculture and Technology to Boost Cooperation
Afghanistan is actively seeking to enhance its cooperation with Uzbekistan, particularly in the fields of agriculture and technology. This initiative was highlighted during a meeting between Mawlawi Abdul Salam Hanafi, Afghanistan's Deputy Prime Minister for Administrative Affairs, and Amanbay Orynbaev, the speaker of the Parliament of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, Uzbekistan. The meeting, held in Kabul, focused on leveraging Uzbekistan's expertise to benefit Afghanistan's development in these sectors. Hanafi emphasized the potential for investment in Afghanistan, citing nationwide security and facilities that could attract traders and investors. The two countries share deep-rooted religious, historical, cultural, and social ties, which both parties aim to strengthen further. Additionally, a joint trade chamber is set to be inaugurated in Mazar-i-Sharif to facilitate trade and transit relations.
