Commerce Secretary Lutnick to Testify Before House Panel on Epstein Ties
Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick is set to testify before a House committee regarding his past interactions with Jeffrey Epstein. Lutnick, a member of President Trump's Cabinet, has been called to provide clarity on his relationship with Epstein, particularly after Epstein's 2008 conviction for soliciting prostitution from an underage girl. Lutnick has previously made conflicting statements about his association with Epstein, claiming minimal contact despite evidence of meetings and email exchanges. The House Oversight Committee is scrutinizing Lutnick's ties to Epstein, as he is the highest-ranking official in the Trump administration, aside from President Trump, to be implicated in the case files. Lutnick has maintained that he did nothing wrong and is open to the closed-door interview with lawmakers.
