Land Convoy from Libya Joins Gaza Flotilla Effort to Break Blockade
A land convoy has departed from Libya as part of a coordinated effort to break the blockade on the Gaza Strip. The convoy, organized by the Global Sumud Flotilla, consists of 30 vehicles, including mobile homes and medical transport vehicles, and involves 200 participants from 25 countries. The convoy aims to deliver humanitarian aid to Gaza and highlight the plight of its residents. Participants include doctors, nurses, engineers, and builders. The convoy is moving in tandem with a flotilla of 54 vessels that set out from Turkey. This initiative follows a previous attempt in April, where 20 vessels were intercepted by the Israeli Navy. The convoy's next stop is Sirte, Libya, with support from local hosts and the Libyan Red Crescent.
