A slow-moving cold front is bringing another round of showers and thunderstorms to Maryland, particularly in the Baltimore area, on Monday afternoon (August 3, 2026). These storms are capable of producing heavy downpours, with localized flash flooding possible in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Drier air is expected to move in by Monday night, providing a temporary break from the rain and humidity. However, the quiet weather will be short-lived as heat, humidity, and daily chances of afternoon and evening thunderstorms are forecast to return starting Wednesday and persist through the weekend.
