Ugandan Musician Moses Matovu Laid to Rest in Kyanja Following Death Investigation
Legendary Ugandan musician Moses Matovu, a pioneer of the Afrigo Band, has been laid to rest in Kyanja, Kampala, after his death earlier this week in Makindye Division. The burial was attended by various dignitaries, including Prince Kasim Nakibinge, a friend of the deceased. Kampala Metropolitan Police spokesperson Rachael Kawala previously confirmed the arrest of a prime suspect in Matovu's death. Attendees at the funeral called upon security agencies to ensure that those responsible for Matovu's death are brought to justice. Prince Nakibinge emphasized the inevitability of death and urged mourners to focus on their spiritual relationship with God, while also pressing for accountability from law enforcement regarding the musician's passing.
