Penn State Fraternity Pledges Allegedly Forced to Process Cocaine for College Drug Ring
Fourteen individuals, including 13 current or former Penn State students, have been charged in connection with an alleged college drug ring that authorities say forced fraternity pledges to cut and package cocaine. Pennsylvania Attorney General Dave Sunday announced the charges, revealing that the operation ran from 2023 to 2024. The alleged leader, 24-year-old Agostino Abbatiello, surrendered after failing to appear for an arraignment on charges including possession with intent to deliver and conspiracy. Court documents indicate that bulk quantities of cocaine were obtained from contacts in Philadelphia and New York. The drugs were primarily processed at the Sigma Chi and Delta Upsilon fraternity houses, utilizing frat brothers and pledges as labor, and then distributed among Penn State students.
