Emirates and South African Airways Expand Codeshare to Enhance African Connectivity
Emirates and South African Airways (SAA) have announced an expansion of their codeshare partnership, introducing a reciprocal agreement that allows Emirates to place its flight code on SAA-operated services. This development enhances connectivity across southern and central Africa, providing travelers with seamless access to nine additional destinations. The expanded network includes domestic flights connecting Johannesburg with Cape Town, Durban, and Port Elizabeth, as well as regional destinations such as Kinshasa, Gaborone, Windhoek, Lusaka, Harare, and Victoria Falls. This move builds on a successful partnership that has been in place for several years, with SAA previously placing its code on Emirates-operated flights between Dubai and South African cities.
