Heat Dome Brings Scorching Temperatures to Palm Beach County This Weekend
Palm Beach County is experiencing extreme heat conditions due to a heat dome blanketing Florida. The National Weather Service in Miami has issued heat advisories for South Florida, with 'feels-like' temperatures expected to range from 105°F to 110°F (40.5°C to 43.3°C) each afternoon through Sunday, August 16, 2026. High pressure systems, warm overnight temperatures, and a plume of Saharan dust are contributing to the unrelenting heat. Daily high temperatures are forecasted to be in the low to mid-90s°F (32°C to 35°C) on Friday and Saturday, with Sunday expected to be the hottest day, reaching the upper-90s°F (36°C to 37°C). Rain chances are elevated at 60% to 80% through Saturday but will decrease on Sunday due to the arrival of Saharan dust.
