Albanian Prime Minister Criticizes Media Over Kushner-Linked Resort Protests
Albania's Prime Minister, Edi Rama, has criticized international media coverage of protests against a luxury coastal development project linked to Jared Kushner. Rama argues that the scale of opposition has been exaggerated, labeling the criticism as 'hysteria.' The project, which aims to transform parts of Albania's southern coastline into a high-end resort, has sparked protests in the capital, Tirana, and other areas. Rama shared a video on social media showing a protest of around 2,000 people, claiming that demonstrations have never exceeded 8,000 participants. He insists that the plans are still under review and that environmental safeguards will be followed. Despite the backlash, Rama defends the project as a significant economic opportunity for Albania.
