U.S. Department of Education Investigates Smith College for Admitting Trans Women

The investigation follows a complaint by the conservative group Defending Education, which argues that Title IX's provisions apply only to biological sex, not gender identity. This move is part of broader efforts by the Trump administration to limit transgender rights, including actions against trans women in sports.
