Amazon Delivery Truck Driver Flees Scene After Multiple Crashes in Rochester
Police in Rochester are actively searching for a driver who fled on foot after being involved in a series of incidents with an Amazon delivery truck. The events unfolded in the city’s 19th Ward, where a 2020 Rivian Amazon truck collided with a Nissan Rogue. The crash resulted in minor injuries to the Nissan's driver, a 23-year-old resident of Chili, who was subsequently taken to a local hospital. Another passenger in the Nissan, a 23-year-old from Rochester, sustained minor injuries but did not require hospitalization. Prior to this crash, the same Amazon truck was involved in two other incidents: sideswiping a vehicle near Genesee Street and Arnett Boulevard, and striking a 42-year-old pedestrian on Tacoma Street, who was also hospitalized with minor injuries. The driver of the Amazon truck is believed to have been speeding and traveling the wrong way on a one-way street, contributing to the accidents.
