North Carolina Recognizes Newly Certified Public Managers in State Agencies
Public-sector employees from various North Carolina state agencies were honored for completing the North Carolina Certified Public Manager® Program (CPM). The commencement ceremony recognized individuals who underwent the rigorous 14-month program, which is managed by the Office of State Human Resources (OSHR)'s Learning and Development division. The program, established in 1982, aims to enhance the leadership capabilities of mid-level managers within public-sector organizations across the state. It involves over 300 hours of effort, including in-person and virtual instructor-led training, asynchronous assignments, and a capstone project. Since its inception, more than 2,640 mid-level managers from federal, tribal, state, and local governments have successfully completed the program.
